Thirteenth Annual WACC-Y Golf Outing |

It was a cold summer day. Freezing is more like it. And raining. This strangely brisk summer weather was what I and everyone else that day first noticed when we dragged our feet out of bed and situated ourselves on the back nine, serving drinks, at the annual WACC-Y Golf Outing. It was really bad for a good hour or two, but Brian Mallow, like always, saved the day and brought us a pop-up tent to shield us from the rain and blankets to keep us warm. We would also like to thank the Brian Mallow agency for splitting the cost of our drink station, and as Abby put it "just being awesome in general". I would have to agree. Thanks, Brian!
Short-sleeved and strong willed, these insane golfers were still golfing in the cold and rain for hours. I won't ever understand it, but they seemed to enjoy themselves, and appreciate our drink station. The coffee, supplied by Modoc's, was their preferred drink, for obviously warming reasons. We had to refill the coffee often, hopping aboard the golf cart for a slow ride to where the coffee was being masterly brewed.
The golf cart is a fine way to go from point A to point B if you don't mind going two miles an hour. At times, we picked up hitchhikers on our way or had to wait, in silence, while the golfers finished their shots. When we finally made it to our destination and filled up the coffee containers, we had our chance to spend a few precious seconds in a real building, and revel in its warmth.
Abby tells me the weather finally cleared up in the afternoon. Yeah, after I left. Thanks, Mother Nature. Anyway, the day got better, and we started talking about having a golf lesson for YPN members in July. Awesome, right? Yeah, I know.
That's about it. Just another day at the office, the YPN's outside-always-being-a-part-of-everything office. Make sure to check out the pictures of the event here. See you next time around.
