The atmosphere was set and the jello shots were raised before slurped up. People donned their costumes of a wide variety, from classical to creative, from sales icon to pop legend, from children's cartoon to puppet. I arrived at around eight, and, at the time, everyone crowded amongst their tables, talking in their own private conversations to discuss their admiration or the inspiration behind their disguises. The dancefloor soon beckoned a fair amount of our members and it was crowded with their movements, all to the speed of classic '80s rock and Michael Jackson hits. And a lot of pictures were taken. As the night progressed, it was eventually time for the costume contest. With fierce competition, the costume contest was difficult to judge. Congratulations to this year's winners:

3rd Place: Donna Koerner

Like everything the Elks does, it was a huge success. It was a lot of fun, and on behalf of the board, I wish to say that we hope to have many more future events with the Elks Lodge.
